Training Device Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide F-22 training device maintenance services at Sheppard AFB, TX
• Assist in the repair, testing, installation, configuration, and upgrade of F-22 Maintenance Training Device (MTD) components, hardware, and software
• Perform detailed pre-operational and post-operational inspections of components and LRUs
• Troubleshoot and isolate mechanical or electrical faults to repair faulty components
• Consult with engineers to troubleshoot complex systems and support equipment
• Perform functional tests of training device systems and monitor instrumentation
• Document all work in accordance with engineering planning documents and technical manuals
• Manage logistics, administrative, and other collateral duties necessary for device maintenance

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or aircraft maintenance
• 3+ years of experience in avionics or electronic equipment maintenance
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing computing system hardware and software
• Experience working with aircraft ground equipment
• Active US Secret Clearance (or a clearance active within the past 24 months)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating F-22 unique Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE), such as PAO Carts, Hydraulic Test Stands, SES Carts, or Nitrogen Carts
• Direct experience with F-22 maintenance
