Trainee Supply Chain Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand technical specifications and quality standards
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to negotiate optimal pricing and delivery schedules
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers in alignment with business needs
• Execute procurement activities and participate in commercial negotiations
• Monitor supplier performance and manage contract variations to ensure effective delivery
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to meet organizational obligations
• Maintain procurement documentation, including order processing sheets and activity reports
• Manage urgent project deliverables while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule commitments
• Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and compliance with safety standards

Requirements

• BSc in Engineering (any discipline)
• 0–2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics
• Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement methodologies
• Experience in project budgeting and managing cash flows
• Hands-on experience with foreign procurement and international sourcing
• Knowledge of international logistics (Air & Sea) and Incoterms
• Understanding of national logistics (Road, Rail, and Air)
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MSGP
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
