Trainee Sample Preparer

Responsibilities

• Operate various sample preparation equipment to crush, split, sieve, and pulverize mineral samples
• Sort received samples according to client submission forms and note any discrepancies
• Apply barcode labels to samples and capture weights using the Gems interface
• Transfer scanned samples to drying racks and operate pulverizing mills to meet specifications
• Maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure a clean and tidy environment
• Promptly report machinery breakdowns or issues to the supervisor

Requirements

• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive manual handling tasks in a warehouse environment
• Ability to follow strict set procedures and maintain high attention to detail
• Must be clean-shaven to ensure a proper seal for mandatory half-face respirator use
• Available to work full-time hours on rotating rosters (including Monday to Friday day shifts and Monday to Thursday afternoon shifts)
• Previous production experience is highly advantageous
