Trainee Quality Engineer Forging Unna

Responsibilities

• Support operational quality assurance for the rod product area, focusing on approval coordination and error management for free-form forging
• Initiate and monitor measures for sustainable error correction and cross-functional process optimization in production
• Translate internal and external requirements into testing plans for the forging plant
• Manage projects in cooperation with production, R&D, and process development departments
• Participate in customer acceptances as well as internal and external audits

Requirements

• Completed scientific or technical degree, ideally in metallurgy, materials engineering, or a comparable field
• Initial professional experience in quality assurance within a metal processing manufacturing company
• Knowledge of hot forming and materials engineering
• Proficiency in English (C1 level)
• Strong analytical thinking, structured working style, and communication skills
• Knowledge of Finite Element Method (e.g., Forge) is an advantage
