Trainee Claims Handler

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of claims, ensuring timely and accurate assessment and resolution
• Review all necessary documentation and evidence to support claims decisions
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and clarify claim requirements
• Ensure all claims adhere to company policies, procedures, and UK regulatory standards
• Identify and escalate complex or high-priority cases to the Senior Claims Handler
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims activity in the claims management system
• Contribute to the department’s objectives by meeting individual and team performance targets
• Participate in training and development opportunities

Requirements

• Previous experience in claims handling or a customer service role
• Rental warranty or insurance experience preferred
• Basic understanding of claims management processes and UK regulatory requirements
• Strong communication skills
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage a busy caseload
• Problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Proficiency in claims systems and Microsoft Office Suite
