Trainee Agriculture Inspector

Responsibilities

• Travel to ports, warehouses, and onboard vessels to carry out inspections
• Attend ships to inspect agricultural cargos and take representative samples
• Conduct quality and condition inspections of commodities such as grains, cereals, and other agricultural products
• Draw and handle cargo samples in line with industry standards
• Record inspection data and prepare accurate reports using SGS systems

Requirements

• Farming or agriculture experience
• Crop science, agriculture, or related degree
• Experience working in outdoor, hands-on environments
• Full UK driving licence
• Physical resilience and adaptability
• Flexibility to work as part of a 24/7 operation

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in inspection, surveying, or port operations
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
