Responsibilities

This 18-month trainee program offers practical experience in essential areas of the agricultural trade business. Depending on your focus, responsibilities include:

• Trading: National and international trade and settlement of physical agricultural products (grains & oilseeds) and hedging on commodity exchanges.
• Supply Chain Management: Truck, rail, and ship logistics, as well as physical and financial settlement of the trading book and optimization of logistics processes.
• Business Analytics and Risk Management: Acting as an interface between operations and finance, supporting trading activities through risk management and performance evaluation.
• Project Work: Contributing to current challenges such as the development of new digital business models or process optimization.

Requirements

• University degree in economics, agricultural sciences, or a comparable field
• Entry-level professional or young professional with initial expertise in agriculture or logistics
• Strong interest in national and international agricultural markets
• Analytical thinking and affinity for numbers
• High level of motivation and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and take on responsibility quickly
• Team orientation and interpersonal skills
• Very good German and fluent English skills
