Train Manager

Responsibilities

• Monitor the safe transport of passengers throughout the entire route
• Act as the primary point of contact for passengers, providing first-class onboard service
• Control tickets and support onboard ticket sales
• Accompany shunting operations as well as the setting up and taking down of the wagon fleet
• Independently perform technical checks, including wagon inspections and brake tests
• Actively contribute to a positive travel experience and help improve service and operational processes

Requirements

• Completed qualification as train personnel (e.g., Train Manager or Train Conductor)
• Knowledge of brake and wagon testing (refresher courses available)
• Proficiency in German and basic English skills
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
• Readiness to travel nationwide and stay overnight away from home
• Service-oriented personality with strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
