Train Manager

Responsibilities

• Monitor the safe transport of passengers throughout the entire route
• Act as the primary point of contact for passengers, providing excellent onboard service
• Control tickets and assist with onboard ticket sales
• Accompany the shunting, setting up, and decommissioning of the train fleet
• Perform independent technical checks, including wagon inspections and brake tests
• Actively contribute to a positive travel experience and help improve service processes

Requirements

• Completed qualification as train staff (Zugführer/Zugchef)
• Qualification for brake and wagon testing (refresher courses available)
• Proficiency in German (minimum B2 level); English skills are a plus
• Willingness to travel nationwide and stay overnight for long-distance operations
• Availability for shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset
