Train Control Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Train Control Engineers (TCE) acting as technical coordinators for project activities.
• Deploy standard processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure team efficiency and technical excellence.
• Manage resource allocation, including personnel and tools, to meet project work-package requirements.
• Define and develop reusable design models and robust, safe architectures (hardware/software distribution).
• Support technical solutions for tenders, projects, and platforms, including cost and process improvements.
• Define annual training objectives and manage the professional development of the engineering team.
• Monitor team performance using KPIs and conduct regular reviews with the TCE Domain Leader.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or an equivalent field.
• Proven experience in team management or technical coordination within an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of design and validation processes within the rail industry or a similar complex engineering sector.
• Familiarity with project management tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multicultural teams.
• Fluency in English (both written and oral).
