Trailer Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Inspect trailers for mechanical, electrical, structural, and safety issues
• Diagnose and repair trailer systems, including electrical wiring, lighting, and brake systems
• Service pneumatic and air brake systems
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled repairs
• Repair trailer doors, floors, roofs, walls, and structural components
• Maintain DOT compliance standards and complete accurate repair documentation
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards

Requirements

• 2+ years of trailer repair, fleet maintenance, or related mechanical experience
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with commercial trailers, dry vans, or transportation equipment
• Knowledge of DOT inspection and maintenance requirements
• Ability to lift and move 80+ pounds regularly
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and climb in/under trailers
