Traffic Lead Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of traffic engineers supporting road and highway projects in Georgia and across the US
• Act as a Seller/Doer by driving business development and growing the traffic engineering practice with GDOT and local agencies
• Serve as the Engineer of Record for traffic-related deliverables, plans, and analysis
• Manage traffic engineering design, modeling tasks, schedules, budgets, and deadlines
• Supervise staff workloads, career planning, and individual development for the traffic team
• Lead traffic discipline pursuits and support Alternative Technical Concept development for design-build proposals
• Participate in the Parsons Traffic Engineering Technical Organization to share resources and lessons learned

Requirements

• 4-year degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 12+ years of experience in traffic engineering and analysis
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification
• Extensive experience interfacing with Georgia DOT or similar state DOT representatives
• Proven experience with design-build or alternative delivery project models

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with business development and client relationship management
• Proficiency in traffic analysis and design software such as Synchro, Vissim, and MicroStation
• Strong writing and presentation skills for proposals and industry leadership
