Traffic EIT

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic engineering design assignments by applying appropriate design criteria
• Conduct analyses related to traffic operations and safety using HCM and HSM methodologies
• Assist in preparing engineering project documents, including traffic impact studies and transportation management plans
• Prepare high-quality contract documents such as plans, specifications, and estimates for traffic and ITS infrastructure
• Utilize specialized software (HCS, Sidra, Synchro, Vistro, VISSIM, and IHSDM) for modeling and analysis
• Create exhibits, designs, and complex working drawings using AutoCAD, Microstation, and OpenRoads Designer
• Support field work related to data collection and design

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Tennessee Licensed Engineering Intern (EIT) or the ability to obtain licensure within 6 months
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Hands-on experience with Microstation

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of industry standards such as ITE Trip Gen, MUTCD, HCM, and HSM
• Experience with software including HCS, Sidra, Synchro, Vistro, VISSIM, and IHSDM
• Experience with InRoads, OpenRoads, and/or GeoPak/3D Modeling
