About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage route efficiency and utilize optimum disposal outlets to ensure effective use of vehicles and facilities
- Manage driver availability and coverage in line with legislation and company procedures
- Perform administrative duties including input of pay, bonus, and disposal information into company systems
- Conduct proactive vehicle management including liaison with fleet and monitoring vehicle gross weights
- Supervise daily vehicle availability and ensure drivers complete checks in accordance with policy
- Contribute to cost control by analyzing depot reports to improve efficiency
- Complete administrative tasks including timesheets, tachograph records, payroll records, and holiday rotas
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the local area
- Exceptional communication skills (written, one-to-one, and telephone)
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize effectively
- Experience working to strict deadlines in a time-critical environment
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
- Willingness to adapt and develop new skill-sets
