Traffic Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Arrange transportation of finished goods from facilities to customers or distribution centers
• Negotiate best pricing and routing for transportation when not otherwise directed
• Dispatch vehicles and establish the use of common carriers as required by Planning, Sales, or Quality departments
• Coordinate and maintain the daily schedule for outbound shipments of finished goods and raw materials
• Act as a liaison between the Warehouse and other departments regarding logistics
• Manage all shipping paperwork, including the creation of Bills of Lading (BOL) and packing lists
• Drive commercial vehicles, including straight trucks, as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of related experience, training, or a combination thereof
• Basic mathematical skills
• Intermediate computer skills with the ability to perform complex tasks across various programs
• Valid Driver's License
• Full professional proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing
