Traffic Control/TMA Driver

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain single-lane and double-lane closures per traffic control plans
• Operate attenuator (crash/TMA) trucks to protect crews on active roadways
• Perform traffic control duties including cone placement, signage setup, and lane shifts
• Assist highway sign crew with installation and maintenance of roadway signage
• Drive and operate company vehicles safely in high-traffic environments
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and basic equipment checks
• Ensure all work zones meet DOT safety standards and regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with traffic control including single and double lane closures
• Previous attenuator truck (TMA) operation experience strongly preferred
• Valid Driver’s License (Class C minimum; Class B CDL ability preferred)
• Ability to obtain Traffic Control Certification (ATSSA or equivalent)
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions
