Requirements
High school diploma or GED, One year experience in traffic control painting, sign crew, or sign design, OR three years experience in construction, carpentry, or tool shop work, Valid driver's license, Ability to obtain Ohio Class B CDL within 150 days
About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise and participate in a crew engaged in the operation of street painting equipment
- Paint traffic control lines, street surface markings, and fabricate traffic control signs
- Perform skilled tasks including brush or spray painting and silk-screening of sign blanks
- Use sign design software to design and fabricate traffic control signs
- Operate street striping equipment to layout and mark centerlines, lane lines, stop lines, and crosswalks
- Work in various outdoor weather conditions and around live vehicular traffic
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of experience in traffic control street painting, sign crew/mechanic roles, or sign design and fabrication
- OR three years of experience in construction, carpentry, or tool shop work
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to obtain an Ohio Class B CDL (including air brakes) within 150 days of appointment
