Traffic Clerk

Responsibilities

• Schedule, ship, and receive incoming and outgoing materials for the Hawthorne Army Depot
• Prepare and maintain all required documentation associated with munition shipments
• Prepare incoming shipment document packages and receipts, serving as an official weigh master for commercial vehicles
• Maintain custodial seal records and follow Safety Data Sheet guidelines for handling and storing hazardous materials
• Review and verify receiving documents and report received shipments to the appropriate consignees
• Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits, safety regulations, and company ethical standards
• Maintain a high level of attendance and be available for overtime or varying shifts as required

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in general shipping and receiving functions
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Computer literacy in common software applications and proficiency in data/numerical entry
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (MVR check required)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required)
• Ability to work in an explosive/ammunition demilitarization facility and wear various levels of personal protective equipment
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of clerical skills experience
• Experience in Supply Depot Operations
