Trading Technology Business Analyst

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business and client requirements for electronic trading initiatives
• Work with traders, clients, exchanges, vendors, and internal stakeholders to define solutions
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
• Support electronic trading platforms, production incidents, and third-line troubleshooting
• Contribute to exchange connectivity, market access, testing, deployment, and platform enhancements
• Develop scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Electronic Trading, or Capital Markets Technology
• Strong Python and Unix/Linux skills, including shell scripting
• Hands-on FIX messaging experience in an electronic trading environment
• Solid understanding of Cash Equities trading workflows and the trading lifecycle
• Experience in low-latency trading environments
• Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication skills for working with business sponsors, clients, and third parties

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with APAC markets, especially Hong Kong, Japan, China, Taiwan, or Australia
• Familiarity with exchange protocols and market connectivity solutions
• Exposure to front, middle, and back office systems
• Knowledge of pre- and post-trade risk systems
• Japanese language capability
