Trading Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to technical issues affecting in-house trading applications
• Optimize infrastructure for business needs
• Utilize project and change-management tools to maintain and configure trading infrastructure
• Analyze and enhance exchange connectivity
• Investigate latency issues and bottlenecks to improve system efficiency
• Monitor and document trading applications and IT infrastructure
• Collaborate with developers to design new and improved in-house applications

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Trading Operations, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering within a proprietary trading or HFT environment
• Deep expertise in Unix/Linux systems for latency-sensitive production environments
• Strong programming skills in Python; experience with Go, Bash, or C++ is a plus
• Practical understanding of networking (TCP/IP, multicast, routing, DNS) and packet analysis
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker in production
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Working knowledge of database systems
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), automation, and observability
• Familiarity with Terraform and Ansible
• Excellent troubleshooting skills for distributed, high-performance systems
