Trading Market Risk Analyst

Responsibilities

• Monitor trading activities for compliance with Market Risk Management policies and develop tools for Global Trading activities in the Asia Pacific region.
• Deliver high-impact market risk insights through daily analysis of trading positions, exposures, and risk limit utilization.
• Identify and resolve trade booking discrepancies, data integrity issues, and abnormal exposure variations.
• Utilize advanced risk analytics such as Value-at-Risk (VaR), stress testing, and scenario analysis to enhance portfolio transparency.
• Provide advice to the Commercial organization on risk appetite, risk limit utilization, and market risk mitigation strategies.
• Champion automation and system enhancements to elevate market risk capabilities and data infrastructure.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in Singapore on a full-time basis.
• 5-10 years of experience in Market Risk within commodity trading (LNG preferred, or natural gas, power, freight, renewables, etc.).
• Strong analytical and statistical modeling skills with a focus on complex risk and uncertainty.
• Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, VBA, Tableau, and/or Power BI.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and leadership skills for engaging with senior management and stakeholders.
