Trading Market Risk Advisor - Expert

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced risk initiatives and provide strategic insights into market risk exposures for LNG, Gas, Power, and Freight trading activities.
• Oversee derivative and commodity risk by assessing OTC commodity swaps and options using scenario analysis and stress testing.
• Evaluate complex commodity transactions, including Day 1 reserves and valuation adjustments, to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
• Provide independent oversight and challenge trading decisions that deviate from established risk parameters or company appetite.
• Deliver strategic market risk insights to support trading leadership and mentor junior analysts.
• Strengthen market risk governance by refining reporting processes and enhancing control frameworks.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work in Singapore on a full-time basis.
• 5-10 years of experience in Market Risk within commodity trading (LNG, natural gas, power, freight, renewables, or environmental products).
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on statistical analysis and modeling complex issues involving risk and uncertainty.
• Proficiency in R, Python, SQL, VBA, Tableau, and/or Power BI.
• Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage with senior management.
