Trading Market Risk Advisor

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-impact market risk insights through daily analysis of trading positions, exposures, and risk limit utilization
• Lead daily oversight of exposure risk by maintaining rigorous position tracking and resolving trade booking discrepancies
• Utilize and refine advanced risk analytics such as Value-at-Risk (VaR), stress testing, and scenario analysis
• Evaluate complex commodity transactions by calculating Day 1 reserves and valuation adjustments
• Provide strategic market risk insights to support trading leadership in decision-making
• Strengthen market risk governance by enhancing control frameworks and refining reporting processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative field
• Significant work experience in energy trading, financial or energy risk management
• Deep expertise in Europe gas (TTF/NBP/OEG/THE hubs)

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (Master's, MBA, CFA, or Ph.D.) in Energy or Financial Risk Management
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of financial instruments
• Understanding of statistical modelling and decision analysis techniques
