Trading Desk Associate (Commodities)

Responsibilities

• Support the Commodities trading desk with daily operational activities and workflow management
• Reconcile trades, transactions, positions and P&L reporting
• Maintain trading systems, proprietary applications and desk tools
• Assist with exchange and regulatory processes to ensure accurate and compliant trading operations
• Develop and enhance Excel, Python or SQL-based tools to improve efficiency and automate manual processes
• Partner with traders, technology and Operations teams to resolve issues and deliver continuous process improvements

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience supporting a front office trading desk within a financial markets environment
• Understanding of commodities markets and financial instruments, particularly futures and derivatives
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience using Python, SQL or other programming languages to automate processes and analyse data
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
