Trading Associate

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage trades across equities, options, and swaps
• Perform day-to-day trading operations including trade allocation, position settlement, and reconciliation
• Utilize Bloomberg and other institutional trading platforms for efficient execution
• Collaborate with Prime Brokers and Market Makers to ensure best execution and fund efficiencies
• Partner with the Investment and Portfolio Management teams to enhance trading processes and procedures
• Work closely with the Operations Team to build solutions for effective transaction execution
• Monitor market trends, economic developments, and trading strategies to ensure adherence to fund objectives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a business or quantitative discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
• 3+ years of experience trading equities, options, and fixed income, with a strong emphasis on options
• Proven experience in Institutional or RIA trading environments
• Proficiency with Bloomberg or similar institutional trading platforms
• Very high level of competency in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with order management systems (OMS) and post-trade processing
• Experience working for a firm that manages 40 Act products
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to trading activities
• Proximity to Chicago, New York, Milwaukee, or Omaha
