Trading Assistant

Responsibilities

• Bridge the relationship between the Portfolio Management and Execution teams
• Ensure trades are captured accurately by internal risk systems and maintain a clean trade blotter
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure smooth settlement of all trades
• Assist with portfolio management bookkeeping to limit residual interest rate and FX risk
• Control the futures delivery process to ensure trading of current, liquid contracts
• Manage NDF fixing risk and aid in PnL reconciliation for Fixed Income, FX, and Interest Rate strategies
• Work with the software development team to optimize end-to-end trading processes

Requirements

• 0–3 years of experience on a trading desk at an investment bank or buy-side firm
• Strong academic background with a demonstrated interest in international finance, mathematics, or macroeconomics
• Quantitative aptitude and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
• Strong work ethic with a self-starter mentality and the capacity to learn new concepts quickly
