Trading Analyst

Responsibilities

• Analyze trading data to surface patterns and produce actionable insights for the Options Market Making desk
• Prototype ideas, test hypotheses, and iterate on strategies alongside traders
• Build scripts, dashboards, and automated workflows that improve desk decision-making over time
• Frame trading problems to maximize value from modern tooling and AI
• Spot operational improvements, data anomalies, and strategy refinements and bring them to the desk

Requirements

• Strong Python skills: able to write, read, debug, and review code confidently
• Solid numerical and analytical skills, including statistical reasoning and data interpretation
• SQL or willingness to learn it quickly
• Experience experimenting with AI tools for analysis, coding, or research
• Interest in financial markets, derivatives, and market mechanics
• Ownership mindset with ability to explain complex findings clearly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a trading environment or financial services
• Experience building dashboards, data pipelines, or analytical tools
• Portfolio, GitHub profile, or side projects that demonstrate how you think and build
