Trades Leader

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations of production equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency
• Lead maintenance technicians and skilled trades in performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance
• Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment failures through hands-on technical work
• Coordinate daily maintenance tasks and improve preventative maintenance programs
• Ensure strict compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
• Document all work performed within maintenance management systems
• Collaborate with engineers, facilities teams, contractors, and vendors for repairs
• Train and mentor team members to support technical growth

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a skilled trade or technical maintenance role
• Proficiency in at least one skilled trade (e.g., electrician, pipefitter, millwright)
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 2-3-2 rotating schedule, alternating day/night shifts
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and team coordination abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman certification in a skilled trade
• Previous experience supervising trades or acting as a lead technician
