Trades Helper - Alarm

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, modification, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of all alarm systems, controls, and P.A. systems.
• Perform regular alarm system testing and assist in setting up preventive maintenance programs.
• Inspect control systems and maintain necessary tools, equipment, and parts for repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and system diagrams to complete assignments.
• Follow department policies and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Work extra-curricular functions and irregular hours as requested, including weekends, nights, football games, and election days.

Requirements

• Demonstrated skills in Alarm Systems and P.A. Systems.
• Working knowledge of preventive maintenance, breakdown repair, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical system diagrams.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clear driving record.
• Ability to use electric equipment and drills, including bending, lifting, and stooping.
• Ability to maintain emotional control and communicate effectively under various working conditions.
