Trade Support Analyst

Responsibilities

• Manage trading and risk platform readiness across pre-trading, post-trade, and reconciliation systems within a global 'follow the sun' model.
• Monitor and support end-to-end transaction flows across the trading platform.
• Identify, analyze, and correct alerts and issues to minimize trade flow impact and preempt outages.
• Perform incident management by communicating outages to business stakeholders and portfolio managers.
• Track problems and steer issues through to resolution.
• Support scheduled changes in collaboration with development teams.
• Oversee automated processes, scheduled tasks, alerting, and regular reporting.
• Drive continuous improvements by identifying manual processes and implementing automation.

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of application support experience.
• Proficiency with Linux OS and Client/Server architecture.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Kafka messaging, and Docker containerization.
• Proficiency with Bash; experience with Python or Perl is highly beneficial.
• Detailed practical knowledge of the FIX protocol.
• Experience using relational databases such as MySQL or MS SQL.
• Strong understanding of trade flow, asset classes, and the trade life cycle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with brokers, exchanges, and senior management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk).
• Knowledge of PnL calculation and risk view data inputs.
• Experience with front-office applications such as Bloomberg, TradeWeb, or MarketAxess.
• Background in supporting Java applications.
• Experience building monitoring solutions using Geneos.
• Proficiency in JavaScript.
