Trade Support Analyst

Responsibilities

• Manage trading and risk platform readiness within a global "follow the sun" model, covering pre-trading through to post-trade and reconciliation.
• Monitor and support end-to-end transaction flows across the trading platform.
• Identify, analyze, and correct alerts and issues quickly to minimize trade flow impact and preempt outages.
• Perform incident management by communicating outages to key business stakeholders and portfolio managers.
• Track problems through to resolution and create post-mortem reports to mitigate future occurrences.
• Collaborate with Investment Management, Portfolio Managers, Operations, Development, Compliance, and Infrastructure teams.
• Support scheduled changes and oversee automated processes, alerting, and regular reporting.
• Drive continuous improvements by identifying manual processes and implementing automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of application support experience.
• Strong knowledge of trade flow, asset classes, and the trade life cycle.
• Proficiency with Linux OS and Client/Server architecture.
• Experience with AWS, Kafka messaging, and Docker containerization.
• Proficiency in Bash; experience with Python or Perl is highly beneficial.
• Detailed practical knowledge of the FIX protocol.
• Experience using relational databases such as MySQL or MS SQL.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with brokers, exchanges, and senior management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence, Service Desk).
• Experience building Geneos monitoring with backend scripting and custom alerting.
• Knowledge of PnL calculation and risk view data inputs.
• Familiarity with front-office applications like Bloomberg, TradeWeb, or MarketAxess.
• Background in supporting Java applications or order flow management.
• Experience with JavaScript.
