About the role
Responsibilities
- Review academic and policy literature on GVC reshaping, trade policy, and labor market outcomes
- Collect and compile trade and GVC-related measures from multiple data sources
- Explore identifying specific value chains via detailed supplier linkages data
- Analyze and depict emerging trends and implications of GVC reshaping for LMICs
- Support the development of econometric models to capture policy variables and trade performance
- Contribute to analytical outputs including data visualizations and reports
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or in the final year of a postgraduate (master’s/PhD) program
- 0–6 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in English
- Experience using trade data and familiarity with trade policy databases
- Experience using multi-regional input-output tables or firm-level datasets
- Expertise in applying trade models
- Strong expertise in applied quantitative methods and econometric modelling
- Proficiency in Stata, R, or Python
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of trade and labor market models or measures
- Experience applying Computable General Equilibrium models
