About the role

Responsibilities

  • Review academic and policy literature on GVC reshaping, trade policy, and labor market outcomes
  • Collect and compile trade and GVC-related measures from multiple data sources
  • Explore identifying specific value chains via detailed supplier linkages data
  • Analyze and depict emerging trends and implications of GVC reshaping for LMICs
  • Support the development of econometric models to capture policy variables and trade performance
  • Contribute to analytical outputs including data visualizations and reports

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or in the final year of a postgraduate (master’s/PhD) program
  • 0–6 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Experience using trade data and familiarity with trade policy databases
  • Experience using multi-regional input-output tables or firm-level datasets
  • Expertise in applying trade models
  • Strong expertise in applied quantitative methods and econometric modelling
  • Proficiency in Stata, R, or Python

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of trade and labor market models or measures
  • Experience applying Computable General Equilibrium models
