Trade Floor Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time technical support to Credit EMEA traders and sales teams to ensure the stability of critical trading platforms.
• Monitor and maintain the bank's technology infrastructure, performing preventative maintenance on hardware and software.
• Analyze system logs, error messages, and user reports to identify and resolve root causes of hardware, software, and network issues.
• Implement automation to reduce manual activities and improve system reliability and efficiency.
• Enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability tools to proactively identify and address potential performance issues.
• Manage incidents effectively, performing swift troubleshooting and detailed root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain detailed documentation and a knowledge base of resolved cases to support knowledge sharing and self-service.

Requirements

• Proven experience in systems engineering, including proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking principles and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
• Proficiency with automation tools to maintain reliability at scale.
• Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability frameworks.
• Strong incident management skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting Credit or other Investment Banking asset classes such as Rates, Equities, or FX.
• Experience working with PaaS products, including virtualization and orchestration of compute, network, or storage.
