Trade Control Specialist

Responsibilities

• Work closely with key stakeholders to understand business strategies and execute innovative, compliant solutions.
• Support the Boeing Qatar Import/Export team by managing brokers, performing jurisdiction and classification reviews, and conducting due diligence.
• Implement and maintain a cohesive trade compliance infrastructure, including user-friendly processes and compliance monitoring.
• Partner with in-country regulators to promote a rationalized trade control environment.
• Identify trade compliance risks and participate in enterprise or external Compliance Risk Management reviews.
• Support enterprise-level investigations and contribute to establishing and reviewing corrective actions.
• Act as a GTC ambassador in business meetings, advising leadership and program teams.
• Maintain effective communication with U.S.-based colleagues responsible for defense programs in Qatar.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven operational experience applying regional trade control and customs regulations.
• Working knowledge of U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
• Fluency in English (read, written, and spoken).
• Experience in presenting and delivering training.
• Proficient computing skills.
• High ethical standards and the ability to self-motivate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management experience.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Proficiency in Arabic (read, written, and spoken).
