About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead all project operations regarding import/export activities
  • Determine and assign tariff classifications to products to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
  • Handle and review import and export documentation for recordkeeping compliance
  • Maintain trade compliance policies and procedures in accordance with current regulations
  • Coordinate shipment releases with Customs Brokers, carriers, and government agencies (CBP/CBSA)
  • Enforce and execute KSN’s import and export operational processes
  • Conduct audits and assessments to identify compliance issues and implement corrective actions
  • Review and approve broker invoices and ACH statements for duty payments
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, brokers, and other trade partners

Requirements

  • Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) license is required
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience performing trade compliance functions
  • Proven experience with North American import/export operations and documentation
  • Deep understanding of Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) search and classification concepts
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with import/export of vehicles and construction equipment
  • Experience managing multiple load entries between the US, Mexico, and Canada
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with Engineering, Finance, IT, and Legal teams
