About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise on core customs topics including Origin, Classification, and Customs Valuation.
- Drive global trade strategies, processes, and guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with regional Trade Compliance teams and business functions to maintain effective procedures.
- Monitor and interpret customs regulations applicable to HP cross-regionally.
- Advise senior leadership on the application of government import regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and execute recommendations.
- Support internal and external audit commitments, including assessments and corrective actions.
- Act as an escalation point for Global Trade regional customs topics.
- Create and deliver compliance-focused training to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of global trade experience with a focus on import and customs compliance.
- Proven expertise in managing complex projects and driving global strategies.
- Strong data analytics skills and basic proficiency in AI capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to implement international trade compliance into global operations and supply chain models.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural, and changing environment.
