About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on core customs topics including Origin, Classification, and Customs Valuation.
  • Drive global trade strategies, processes, and guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with regional Trade Compliance teams and business functions to maintain effective procedures.
  • Monitor and interpret customs regulations applicable to HP cross-regionally.
  • Advise senior leadership on the application of government import regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and execute recommendations.
  • Support internal and external audit commitments, including assessments and corrective actions.
  • Act as an escalation point for Global Trade regional customs topics.
  • Create and deliver compliance-focused training to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of global trade experience with a focus on import and customs compliance.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex projects and driving global strategies.
  • Strong data analytics skills and basic proficiency in AI capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement international trade compliance into global operations and supply chain models.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural, and changing environment.
