Trade Compliance Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and review customs and foreign trade processes to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
• Oversee compliance management for import courier shipments, including monitoring, post-entry reviews, and broker partnership management.
• Maintain internal controls and conduct training programs related to U.S. import compliance and Foreign Trade Zone Compliance.
• Manage the issuance of USMCA and other free trade agreement Certificates of Origin.
• Support U.S. import post-entry and documentation reviews in the GTS portal and manage communications with brokers.
• Prepare periodic compliance reports using the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) and other business analytics tools.
• Manage company inquiries related to tariffs, antidumping, valuation, and U.S. import compliance.
• Gather documentation and craft timely responses to U.S. CBP Requests for Information (CF 28s) and Notices of Action (CF 29s).
• Manage bonds necessary for import and duty drawback business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of experience in international trade compliance.
• Working knowledge of U.S. Customs Regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Customs Broker.
