About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for U.S. trade compliance, including Customs, Import/Export, and Export Controls.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on U.S. customs regulations, trade programs, and compliance risks.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of trade compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Perform and validate HTS classification and country of origin determinations for EPC equipment.
  • Ensure compliant import and export transactions in accordance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
  • Manage, oversee, and evaluate customs brokers and service providers in the U.S.
  • Support Export Control and Dual-Use compliance, including license determinations.
  • Assess and implement duty-saving opportunities such as Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) and bonded warehousing.
  • Support internal and external audits, assessments, and compliance reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, Law, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in U.S. trade compliance, customs, or international logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, and origin rules.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and customs/compliance tools.
  • Experience with Import/export documentation and broker management.
  • Knowledge of Export Control and Dual-Use regulations.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an asset.
