Trade Compliance Advisor

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for Export Control and Licensing within the trade compliance team.
• Partner with global trade compliance subject matter experts and legal teams to determine export licensing requirements based on jurisdiction and classification.
• Provide technical expertise on China Customs regulations, including export control, licensing, and documentation requirements.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to secure required export licenses and monitor application status.
• Identify and implement opportunities for export control and compliance process improvements.
• Implement export control policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Manage broker relationships and conduct regular KPI reviews.

Requirements

• Graduate degree is required (advanced degree in business preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Export Control and compliance within a major corporation or consultancy firm.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and the ability to anticipate and diffuse problems.
• Proven project management skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Fluent in both oral and written English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team to resolve complex compliance requirements.
