Traction Project Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Represent the engineering department within the project core team to ensure technical decisions meet QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) commitments.
• Manage engineering work packages and oversee the execution of the Engineering Management Plan.
• Act as the primary engineering interface for customers, providing overviews of design progress, risks, and technical issues.
• Lead and manage a functional engineering team (including TxEs, RAMS, and CV) of between 10 and 200 people.
• Monitor engineering performance through KPIs, including work package costs, on-time design reviews, and gate review success.
• Manage engineering risks, mitigation plans, and savings actions to ensure project stability.
• Coordinate with the Engineering Planning Manager to manage global scheduling convergence and workload.

Requirements

• An Engineer profile is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development and management positions for large-scale projects.
• Strong general product knowledge and understanding of engineering task execution.
• Proven team leadership and ability to drive motivation within a functional team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and partners.
• Highly organized, rigorous, and able to remain stress-resistant in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain a high-level overview to track project progression against deadlines and budgets.
