Traction Design Leader

Responsibilities

• Manage functional resources, activities, and deliverables for electrical traction and green energy supply design projects.
• Define mechanical architecture considering weight, gauge, installation, acoustics, and eco-design.
• Ensure technical solutions meet product requirements and comply with QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) commitments.
• Prepare and lead technical design reviews and manage related open item lists.
• Monitor engineering planning and coordinate workload distribution within the Traction Design team.
• Resolve technical issues and follow up on challenging actions throughout the development phase.
• Validate design deliverables through mock-ups, simulations, or testing.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Quality to support production ramp-up.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Electro-Mechanical or a related generalist field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical or Integration Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in Project Management.
• Fluency in English and the local language of the site.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and third parties.
• Ability to work effectively in an international and multi-cultural environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically applied to Railway products.
• Proven experience in Functional Management.
