Track Laborer Regional Driver

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and install railroad track components to ensure safe train movement
• Handle and transport track materials and equipment using appropriate devices
• Perform trackbed maintenance, including removing, replacing, and tamping ballast
• Operate equipment to drive spikes, tighten/loosen track bolts, and remove spikes
• Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) requirements
• Develop positive working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and contractors

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B
• Maintain an acceptable driving record (MVR)
• Successfully pass a Physical Ability Test (PAT)
• Meet FMCSA medical requirements for commercial motor vehicle drivers
• Demonstrate proficiency in English via a required assessment

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Railroad Maintenance of Way work
• Experience in construction-oriented environments or working outdoors in diverse weather
• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including construction or farm machinery
• Strong welding skills or a welding certificate
• Flexibility to work on-call, overtime, and various shifts including weekends and holidays
