Track Construction Worker

Responsibilities

• Execute the new construction, conversion, and maintenance of tram and industrial tracks
• Lay and align rails, switches, and sleepers
• Perform assembly work on tracks, fastening systems, and superstructure components
• Construct track beds, substructures, and drainage systems
• Work in urban areas following strict safety regulations
• Collaborate in teams for track tamping, welding, and surveying tasks
• Operate hand-held construction tools and smaller machinery

Requirements

• Completed vocational training in track construction, civil engineering, or a related field (e.g., steel construction)
• Experience in track construction is preferred, though motivated career changers are welcome
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and occasional night shifts
• Physical resilience and ability to perform manual labor
• Driving license class B (additional classes are an advantage)
• High level of reliability and commitment to safety standards
