Track Construction Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate construction Right-of-Way activities, including railroad track, civil, and structural elements for major transportation projects.
• Ensure contractor compliance with design standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Identify and correct design and construction deficiencies early to prevent rework and reduce project risk.
• Review daily field inspector reports to verify compliance and ensure accuracy for commercial documentation.
• Monitor construction progress and collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions for performance issues.
• Make decisions regarding project phasing and scheduling to ensure on-time completion.
• Review design and work plans for constructability and provide expert guidance on risks and improvement strategies.
• Work with the Project Management Team on change orders, contract interpretation, and shop drawing submittals.
• Oversee the closeout of commissioning and acceptance documentation for stakeholder approval.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 10 years of experience in Rail Construction.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Hour Certification.
