About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate construction Right-of-Way activities, including railroad track, civil, and structural elements for major transportation projects.
- Ensure contractor compliance with design standards, quality requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Identify and correct design and construction deficiencies early to prevent rework and reduce project risk.
- Review daily field inspector reports to verify compliance and ensure accuracy for commercial documentation.
- Monitor construction progress and collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions for performance issues.
- Make decisions regarding project phasing and scheduling to ensure on-time completion.
- Review design and work plans for constructability and provide expert guidance on risks and improvement strategies.
- Work with the Project Management Team on change orders, contract interpretation, and shop drawing submittals.
- Oversee the closeout of commissioning and acceptance documentation for stakeholder approval.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- 10 years of experience in Rail Construction.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 30 Hour Certification.
