Tower Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform work on the tower including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, and load hopping
• Install equipment such as masts, antennas, RRUs, cabling, and supports
• Perform coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cable installations
• Complete grounding, terminations, and cadwelding as required
• Assist in the assembly of monopole, self-support guyed towers, and rooftops
• Maintain vehicles, equipment, and tool inventory

Requirements

• Successful completion of Competent Climber Certification and Tower Safety & Rescue Certification
• CPR/First Aid Course Certification
• Ability to read construction drawings, piping diagrams, and job specifications
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to climb and work at heights up to 500 feet
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditions
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug testing

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10hr or OSHA 30hr Certifications
• RF Awareness Certification
• Experience operating aerial lifts and man lifts
• Related trade school education
