Tower Technician

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety above all other considerations during all field operations
• Perform tower work including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, and load hopping
• Install telecommunications equipment such as masts, antennas, RRUs, cabling, and supports
• Execute coax, fiber, and hybrid cable installations, including connector installation and weatherproofing
• Complete grounding, terminations, and cad-welding as required
• Assist with the maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and tool inventory

Requirements

• Ability to climb and perform work at various heights, up to 400 feet, for long periods
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and pull own body weight plus equipment up a vertical tower
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, piping diagrams, and job specifications
• Must meet ANSI Z359 physical requirements for fall protection gear
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background, drug, and MVR screenings
• Willingness to travel out of market/state for up to several months at a time
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and unpredictable hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Current OSHA 10hr certification
