Tower Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform tower work including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, and load hopping
• Install equipment such as masts, antennas, RRUs, cabling, and supports
• Execute coax, fiber, and hybrid cable installations, including connector installation and weatherproofing
• Complete grounding, terminations, and cadwelding as required
• Assist in the assembly of monopoles, self-support guyed towers, and rooftops
• Maintain vehicles, equipment, and tool inventory
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety and quality guidelines

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in climbing towers, stacking, or rigging
• Competent Climber Certification and Tower Safety & Rescue Certification
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to climb up to 500 feet and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet ANSI Z359 physical requirements for fall protection
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 90%)

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10hr or OSHA 30hr Certifications
• RF Awareness Certification
• Experience operating aerial lifts, man lifts, and aerial platform equipment
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and piping diagrams
