About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform work on the tower top including rigging, hoisting, landing, and fastening
- Install up-top equipment such as masts, antennas, RRUs, and cabling
- Install coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cables per piping diagrams
- Perform grounding, terminations, and cadwelding as required
- Assist in the assembly of monopoles, self-support guyed towers, and rooftops
- Maintain tool inventory and equipment upkeep
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality guidelines
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to climb and work at heights up to 500 feet
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more in awkward positions
- Successful completion of safety in rigging coursework
- Successful completion of Industrial First Aid and Rescue Training
- Successful completion of Competent Climber course
- Ability to operate aerial lifts and man lifts
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel 80-100% of the time
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Related trade school education
- One to three years of experience in climbing towers, stacking, or rigging
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
