Tower Foreman

Responsibilities

• Lead the erection, construction, and maintenance of wireless towers, including monopoles, self-support, and guyed towers.
• Supervise tower personnel (up to 4 members) and ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety requirements and company procedures.
• Manage tower-top work including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, and installing up-top equipment such as antennas, RRUs, and cabling.
• Perform installation of coax, fiber, lines, and hybrid cables, including connector installation, weatherproofing, and labeling.
• Execute grounding, terminations, and cadwelding as required.
• Maintain high quality control standards and mentor less experienced crew members in safety awareness.
• Complete necessary documentation, including Jobsite Safety Assessment (JSA) forms and closeout photographs.
• Manage tool inventory and maintain company vehicles and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of experience in tower climbing, stacking, and rigging.
• Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue Certification.
• Successful completion of safety in rigging coursework.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to climb up to 500 feet and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and pull own body weight plus equipment up a vertical tower.
• Willingness to travel extensively (80-100% of the time), often out of state for several months.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Completion of OSHA 10 training and safety LMS.
• Experience operating aerial lifts, man lifts, and skid steers.
• Completion of Industrial First Aid and rescue training.
