About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the erection, construction, and maintenance of communication tower sites.
  • Supervise and mentor tower crew personnel, ensuring strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company procedures.
  • Perform high-altitude work including rigging, hoisting, landing, and fastening equipment.
  • Install up-top equipment such as masts, antennas, RRUs, cabling, and supports.
  • Execute coax, fiber, and hybrid cable installations, including weatherproofing and labeling.
  • Complete grounding, terminations, and cadwelding as required.
  • Conduct daily Jobsite Hazard Assessments (JHA) and lead safety meetings.
  • Manage tool inventory and maintain job site cleanliness and organization.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3 years of experience in tower climbing, stacking, or rigging.
  • OSHA 10hr certification (OSHA 30hr preferred).
  • RF Awareness Certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to climb and perform physical work at heights up to 500 feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more and work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel 50-90% of the time, including out-of-state travel for several months.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Related trade school education.
  • OSHA 30hr certification.
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Successful completion of Competent Rigger and industrial First Aid/Rescue training.
